As the largest and longest running theatre company on campus, EUTCo (pronounced ‘yoot-coe’) produce published plays, run workshops, organise trips, holds socials and much more.
Throughout the year we produce a range of published plays, both contemporary and classical. We encourage our company to think beyond the words on the page and strive for innovative and exciting performances. Think dynamic sets, eye catching aesthetics and slick performances.
University is perfect time to experiment and we our ask members to challenge the stereotypical perceptions of what theatre can be. We provide a platform to explore your theatrical interests; be they technical, directorial, artistic or performative. You learn best through doing so don’t worry about experience, just get stuck in.
We produce six shows over the academic year, ranging from our large scale production performed on the professional Northcott stage, to our Edinburgh Fringe show. The terms are stuffed an accumulation of plays that vary in style and genre, as we have different directors working on each production.
Feel free to approach us with your project ideas, hidden talents or general enthusiasm – whatever your idea is, we always want to hear it.
